    • We should have VCs and Recruiters sponsor the evening happy hour event.

Date: Tentatively April 3-4 or April 17-18

This will depend on the availability of a space. There was a general consensus that we should shoot for the month of April.

We have decided that the event will probably last two days and it will be preferably on a Friday and Saturday.

Venue:

Two venues have been noted as possible locations:

Polytechnic Institute of NYU:

  • They have space that can be used free of charge
  • There is access to a 300 person amphitheater
  • There are classrooms that can hold approximately 30 people

Pace University:

  • They prefer to hold events after the semester ends on May 12th
  • No outside caterers are allowed.
  • The cost for meals is $40 per person for two days.

Action Items:

  • Restructure text describing the event
  • Develop a form that guages interest for the event
  • Create a set of subtopics for the event
  • Create a list of potential sponsors
  • Create a list of presenters/facilitators for the event
  • Create a list of possible locations for the happy hour event
  • Figure out what dates Pace and Polytechnic have open in April
